악에서 벗어났기 때문에 수행자라 하고 행동이 고요하기 때문에 수행자라 하며 자신의 때를 씻어 버렸기 때문에 출가자라 한다
出惡爲梵志 入正爲沙門 棄我衆穢行 是則爲捨家.
출악위범지 입정위사문 기아중예행 시즉위사가
Because he has put aside evil he is called a Brahmin; because he lives in serenity he is called a samana; because he puts away his impurities he is called pabbajita.
