진실과 진리와 불살생과 절제와 자제로써 더러운 때를 벗어 버린 사람을 진정한 큰스승이라 한다.
謂懷諦法 順調慈仁 明達淸潔 是爲長老위회체법 순조자인 명달청결 시위장로
He in whom dwell truth, virtue, non-violence, restraint, control, he who is free from impurity and is wise, he is called an elder.
